Week 13 - Daughter Diary

"You must see your child grow." Its been three months since I became a father and my bliss hasn't started yet. It will start when i write the next blog next week. Coming Sunday is Dasahara and I shall bring her here in Mumbai. The circumstances in Mumbai has not changed much but once she comes it will change for the better.

I have heard that she now coos more and reciprocates when her nani talks to her. She would cycle and try to grab things with her beautiful tiny hands. If she is not able to catch hold of anything she would chew her hands, both of them hard press into her mouth. Rinku thinks she can get infection from her nails and stays after mending her ways but no. Come whatever if she decides to eat her hands she will, if you go stop her she will not hesitate to make your life difficult and would cry her heart out.

It was green poop that worried Rinku so much that she took her to the child specialist last week and guess what! Ridhima had all smiles lying at the doctor's table with an infectious sparkle in her eyes. Doctor said she is just fine and it is normal for babies of this age to "go green". I told so. But Rinku presses the panic button pretty often these days. So much so that the doctor vaccinated her for ROTA virus and one more with an injection, she did not protest much. Cooed when the needle pierced her feather skin and then she was fine.

She now does not like to be wrapped in blankets and moved around Rinku learnt it yesterday when she saw  her sleep for many hours without much cloth on under the fan. She has always been a baby who just wants to stay awake and give you a hard time even if you think of putting her to sleep.
