Week 18 - Daughter Diary

Ridhima is not here in Mumbai and she has gone to Kolkata to be with her grand mom who is celebrating the Chhat Puja for the last time due to her age and the falling health. Everybody from Rinku's extended family seemed to arrived to make it a full on family gathering and Rinku joined them at the eleventh hour. She even missed almost half of the festivities as the train-tickets were hard to come by for the earlier days. Its been almost a week now since they are not here and the I am surviving on my own after a long time as Muntun and his wife went to live on their own from last Tuesday, same day when the last post was being written and Mangalyaan of India left for the skies.

Week 18 - Daughter Diary
It was an emotional scene. My brother and I lived almost our entire lives together but it was becoming a little too much for us to adjust in a small house. They are a new married couple and craved for privacy. The other benefit of it, what I think, would be that Muntun will finally learn how to run a family and take care of the little things of the household on his own. Anyways, I am always here for them and this separation will only strengthen our bond as brothers. In fact they were here today and his wife cooked a meal for me in a jiffy before we headed to see Ritesh's baby boy. Ritesh my friend and neighbor is blessed with a cute little boy on 10th of Nov. How Rinku wants to see the baby!

Rinku told me today that my baby is doing fine there in Kolkata and getting adjusted to the situation well. She will again miss them once she is here with us. I am thinking to call Mummy and Pappa here as early as next week. My baby has been collecting ransom in the form cash as well as kind as Rinku informed me now she has a dozen new frocks. Rinku has also been generous collecting gifts from her relatives. I jokingly reminded her of my dress size and pleaded her to bring something for me as well. Lets see!

The update about Ridhima is she has successfully started to put her toes into her mouth and it is believed she has now lost the connection with the divine. Now she has become a true blue citizen of the planet earth. It would be old to mention that she turns up side down and spreads her hands in "T" shape to cover the full bed. How we plan to make a separate bed for her. Let them come back we need to plan it. It is getting serious now.
