You cannot plan out everything in life. Even if you do you cannot be excused from surprises. It was almost all set that I would come back to Mumbai with my baby and my wife and it did not happen. Just one night before leaving I started receiving calls from in laws, other relatives that this is not a good time for travel. It is "Pitri Paksha" and is not an auspicious time to venture out with a new born baby. I settled down and it was over. Sometimes you have to listen to the people around you especially when it is something related to your baby.
Ridhima was not keeping well and had an upset stomach. We took her to the doctor last Saturday and from the next day onwards she was feeling better. She was cycling and playing alright. One very interesting thing that I have noticed is as soon as you take her our of house she will start behaving like an angel. She would just slump into slumber and would make your life a lot easier. It happened when we first took her out 20 days ago to a shopping mall and were not sure as in how to handle her if she cried and she barely cried. Again, last Saturday when we took her to the doctor she continued sleeping till we came back home. Yes! once you reach home she will wake up with that usual sparkle in her eyes and will start cooing and playing.
One more thing she likes somebody talk to her and her Nani does it the best. As soon as her Nani would come close and say something she would look into her eyes and start listening to her. You cannot miss the smile she puts on her face. It shakes you alive. It makes you the most fortunate person in the whole universe.
She now clearly differentiates between her Momy and others. Yes this is the simple differentiation seems to work for her as of now. She would roll her eyes and follow her Mom till the time she is visible or sometimes just stare the fan above her as if waiting her mom to appear again. She still does not know her papa well. She will.
