Ridhima and Rinku are here in Mumbai and as I mentioned in the last post they have collected plenty of gifts. None of the gifts for me. Sad isn't it? When I first looked at RIdhima when she arrived in Mumbai she was looking pale and exhausted. May be because of the constant journey she has been through. From Mumbai to Kolkata to Pune and then to Mumbai in flat 10 days. She had a running nose along with Rinku and I was so damn sure that I am gonna get it by the next morning. It was as expected a heavy-head in the morning after and I sneezed, thankfully it did not aggravated. It was Sunday evening when they arrived and in the last two days the things have improved much. Everyone of us including Ritu, my sister in law is doing better.
Ridhima now can suck on her toe pretty easily and she has gradually made it her favorite pass time. Either she will put her toe into her mouth or just roll over and make herself uncomfortable that would attract immediate attention. The best smile that she gives is when she is in her mother's lap after she has her belly full. She would take power naps in between to rejuvenate herself. What an easy lesson! We all forget these blessings as we grow older. One more thing there is a poster that my brother has kept in our bedroom when Rinku was pregnant, Ridhima has put it to some good use. What she does is whenever she would look at it she could not help smiling at it. It is just so adorable.

| Week 19 - Daughter Diary |
You meet people and you learn about parenting. It was one of our colleagues I was having lunch with yesterday in the afternoon and she could not help telling us about her darling daughter. How they as parents sacrificed TV, Cola and other stuff for the sake of their daughter to inculcate healthy habits. The result is she is barely six years old now and understands painting, designing, horse-riding fairly well. It is because she gets plenty of time to participate in those necessary extra curricular activities - I never understood why in the world these enjoyable activities are called "extra" in the first place- that could have been a waste watching TV.
Honestly speaking, I did not have these things in my mind before but it made a lot of sense to me. It is in the first couple of years that you have to develop these good habits into your child to make her a responsible citizen of the world who could be creative enough to choose her own path to live her life.
