Week 26 - Daughter Diary

Its been 8 days since the new year knocked our doors. The fun and frolic of the holidays coming to an end and the world is slowly coming to terms with the real world. after almost 2 hours from now it is going to be 9th of January and it will mark an important day in Ridhima's life. She will become six months old and life will start to be a little different when she will have to eat food besides her sole food source- her mother's milk. We are obviously as confused as anything and are anxious about the food that would suit her growth requirements. Thank god! Mom and Dad are here with us.

Daughter Diary
She has been learning new tricks pretty quickly. Now she makes sounds to convey her mood swings. It has become easy to understand if she is happy or not, if she is enjoying a particular thing or not. She wants to see everything and know everything. She knows where the door is and when the bell rings. She would tease her mother and would enjoy doing it with her ear to ear smiles making funny sounds. The most significant is when I realized that when I come home after office she would treat me pretty differently. She would just laugh and want to come into my lap and whatever I would say she would just make happy noises and laugh aloud. The sparkle in her twinkling eyes are so infectious it just takes away all the hardship of the day out of me. I just play with her for some time till we both realize that its enough.

Mom says she never laughs as much as she does when she looks at me coming back home in the evening, it seemed to be a flattery but when it was confirmed by Rinku I felt extremely blessed. She is just growing naughtier as the days progresses and it is adding more fun to our otherwise steady lives. Rinku is fully occupied with her household chores. Ridhima keeps her grandparents on their toes too and they enjoy it with the word 'e'. She would now roll over to the entire bed with her unique dolphin-like marching technique. Now she travels to reach out to her favorite objects and march towards it through an unbelievable precision. I have tasted her rolling capabilities and was surprised when she approached sunday newspaper kept at a distance corner of the bed full of pillow-hurdles. She was there in two minutes. She still loves to watch of all things the fan above her and would stop crying look at it and smile.

She is still playing beside me waving her hands fiercely and stroking me to pay attention to her and to play with her. I  would rather comply... Cya
