There was a constant fear in hour
hearts about the chicken pox contamination and thankfully we have been proved
wrong. She has had some cold and she is still recovering from it. We have seen
her running nose for the first time and let me tell ya it is not a happy scene.
Rinku as always, is very
concerned about the way she coughs. She insisted to see a doctor but after a
couple of attempts to visit the nearby clinic we preferred keeping from the
stampede-like situation there. Every other infant had cold and Rinku accepted
that it is more about the weather than anything else.
Ridhima is learning new things, daily
especially from her grand mother. She now claps at the drop of a hat. She makes
sound to seek attention; she waves hand at times to show her mood and so on.
Now she owns four teeth and uses it well on anything that comes her way. It has
now become impossible to disturb her when she watches TV. She understands when
the bell rings and pays attention to the mobile ringtones
She is able to treat me and her mother the way we approach. Her smile and her antics keep all of us busy all day long. Oh! There is one more important thing I was missing out on and that is her new demand to go out of house. She just loves it!
Every evening we make sure to go
for a walk along with her and she, as if records every site and scene with her
tiny eyes. It does not take her long when she falls asleep because of the noise
and clutter of the outside world. But she enjoys going out!
Project ‘Feeding Her Outside Milk’
is still to see the light of the day. Our regular attempts have made no
progress at all. We gave her the milk-bottle yesterday so that she could get familiarized
with it and all she was doing was licking and biting the bottom of the bottle.
Mom says we could have introduced these things long back. Ridhima just doesn’t
know what to do with a milk bottle. God! Thankfully, she somehow likes Dal (lentils).
