Its been almost five months since Rinku is there in Pune and it has been a tedious task for me to go and meet her and my baby on weekends. You simply want to spend more time with your family and would not want to spend almost ten hours commuting for that on weekends. The days are coming closer when they will be here.
I left my job on 12th this month after a three months stint. It was not working for both of us. I have taken up to start a website and has been working on it. I stay at home these days and long more to meet with my near and dear ones. Ridhima had to be vaccinated 10 days back and doctor said it was going to be painful for the baby. She had some cough and cold and doctors advised to wait till she gets fine. Now from the last three days she has an upset stomach. Rinku says she is not as active these days as she used to be. Yesterday she seemed to be fine. It is when she starts cycling lying in the bed we know she is alright. She is feeding well and sleeping well. Sigh of relief!
In-laws are not happy to know that on 22th she will leave for Mumbai. Specially her maasi who had been more than mom to her in the last ten weeks. When Ridhima cries she knows what needs to be done, when everyone fails she rises to the occasion. She was the first who saw my baby after birth even much before Rinku, her mother. She has her mobile full of Ridhima's photograph and she shares them when I am in Pune. Naani has done all the massage and now got attached to her so much that it is becoming all the more painful to think that she is going.
I stayed in Mumbai this weekend and work towards achieving my goals. I am spending a lot of my time reading books and the stuff I like to do. It is the time when I will have to do something that is radically different from what I have been doing in the last 9 years in Mumbai. Yes! today is 17th September (Wishwakarma Pooja) and nine years ago in 2004 I was selected to work with Reliance. I was in Kolkata and had never thought that I would be going to Mumbai for my first job. Its been a roller coaster ride since.
Anyways, I have got my tickets done and will be leaving for Pune on Saturday in the morning and will be back in Mumbai on Sunday Evening.
There has been a very sad incident this Sunday (15th September) when Mintu's daughter who was a premature delivery and who had been in the ICU at Fortis since 20th August, died. It was heartbreaking. Baby's mother was inconsolable and was not leaving her baby to perform the last rights. It was very disturbing. May god give them the power to cope up with this difficult time. May the little soul rest in peace!
