Week 24 - Daughter Diary

Today is 25th of December, 2013. Yes! The Christmas Day, when the world gets a valid reason to celebrate, to get together, to let some hair down. Ridhima, after a delay of almost 2 months has got her vaccination done. I do not understand why in the world should the vaccination be so painful for the tender kids. The injection she has got today causes severe pain for as long as 48 hours. Man! That does not seem to be fair for the little kids.

My parents have reached here on 22nd and are happy to see their grand-daughter. They are still to be familiar with Ridhima but the dual dose of massages have  got a headstart. She gets it multiple times a day. Ridhima surprisingly stayed calm and collected while at the clinic and did not create much fuss even when she was injected with the bloody vaccine. We reached home and she continued to play as usual for more than an hour. She just started crying differently and we understood that the pain has started. We have given her the prescribed medicine and Rinku is feeding her to help her sleep. We hope everything goes good with the night tonight.

Muntun, my younger brother was here at our place today and informed me that he again has left the job. I don’t know what’s wrong with the jobs these days. My brother and I have been facing challenges on the financial front because of this. I do not know if I should blame America or the ISI for it. We have been trying to come out of it but no avail. We are sailing through though waiting for our Godot to come. I have given him the idea of Dabba for Dogs business that I started a couple of months ago and was wanting to make it big, I invested 8-9 thousand rupees into it and then got a job and left that idea in the middle. I have handed it over to him and I hope he will take it forward.
