“A daughter could be the
most reliable relative as far as parents are concerned.” Chandrababu V.S
I am not sure how much of this
quote is relevant to me but in the last 8-9 months our daughter has become inseparable
part of our lives. Ridhima and her smile keep us happy and inspired to get out
of this rough ride of the times. The sparks that she sprinkles through her smiling
twinkling eyes is unparalleled. We will not trade it for anything.
She now understands who she is
faced with and can call out different names without bothering who is who. Baba,
Mamma or a soft Pappa slips out of her mouth at random intervals as if she
wants us to guess who she is calling. She has learnt a few tricks from her grand
mother and would clap even in half asleep. If you say fan she would just look
above and if you say pigeon she will look towards balcony where she sees pigeons
hatching eggs. She loves to chew on mobile phones at times.
The good news is she has started
to take some selective liquid food such as soup, daal (lentils) and would drink plenty of water. Yesterday I was
eating Maggie Noodles in the evening and I fed her the soup. She twirled her tongue
and swallowed it, and guess what! She wanted more. I could not believe my eyes
and she was gulping spoon after spoon of the spicy soup. The one thing that she
strongly dislikes is milk. She would not even touch it whatever come may.
She appears to be tall and grown
a thin. There are four more teeth sprouting in her mouth leaving her high and
dry with loose motions. I don’t understand why the poop has to be green when
her stomach is upset? Ours never get that deep green in color.
My Mom and Dad are in two minds
they want to return home and are not willing to leave their grand daughter on
the other hand.
