The morning alarm starts to ring at 7 am everyday and it repeats at least ten times to bother us and to open our eyes. Ridhima wakes up early these days much before we even realize. I saw her mumbling and playing by me when I opened my eyes in the morning today. I with all my love took her into my arms and brought her closer so that she doesn’t feel alone. Rinku was still sleeping.
There are a couple of things that has become a routine for Ridhima. She will sleep at around 10PM, if not, she will not let anybody live. She will wake up early even before 7 and will wet her bed within 2 minutes after she opens her eyes keeping Rinku on her toes to take her to appropriate place. She does not wet her bed the entire night and will compensate it by doing at least 4 times during the first two hours since she wakes up.
Summers are humid, hot and horrible in Mumbai. It was one such painful night when we woke up a couple of times drenched in sweat. Fan was not helping much either.
Back to the story- I took her into my arms to realize that she has already peed. That’s fine, I thought! I brought her close only to realize that there was some foul smell permeating out of the bed. By the time I was alerted my clothes were also stained. I woke Rinku up and she started her day with cleaning.
The bottom line remains- Don't dare sleep when your baby is awake or you will be punished!
Ridhima has learnt to be angry-very angry! She would just close her fists firmly and make grunting sound to express that she is not happy. She would eat a few things and keep it chewing not to swallow at the end. Yes! You need to pluck it out from her mouth when you see her mouth full. She tries to crawl on her four and reach out for things at a rapid pace. She wants to go out of the house as many times as possible.
Her uncles have brought a couple of clothes for her last evening. She looked adorable in them.
Not to forget she has learnt to say “Mamma” only yesterday and she has been repeating it aloud whenever she has to call her Mom.
