Week 49 - Daughter Diary

Today is Sunday and after a very busy morning Ridhima is fast asleep. When she gets too much occupied with the things around her she needs rest just to rejuvenate and resume her mission to be more creative with her tantrums and tricks. She dismantles every piece of thing that comes her way and keeps doing it till she is fully satisfied with the results.

She picks up every tiny little thing (she loves the shredded papers the most, yes! Shredded by her sparkling sharp teeth) and that goes straight to her waiting mouth. If you see it and say ‘Open your mouth, Beta’ she would oblige by opening her big mouth stretching her tongue out. The story does not end there, the moment you try to see and pick the paper out she would bite the finger ruthlessly. Let me tell you this is a very effective tool for her to keep the unwarranted interruptions at bay.

Week 49 - Daughter Diary
Ridhima, like her mother, likes to drink plenty of water at regular intervals. We keep her ‘Mum’ ready in her milk bottle, she likes it that way. Outside milk is still a no, no. Her Mom forcefully feeds her Ceralac twice a day but that as I said, is a very difficult process. We have tried a number of flavors but the search of her favourite is still on.

She is easy to make people understand what she likes and what not. You will come to know immediately. The love to see the world outside is still her most sought after quest. But oflate, we have found that she likes to come home after a while and she conveys it quite effectively catching us offguard.

It was yesterday when she saw the rains, we took her for a spin on the bike and it started to rain on the way home. Was she happy! She was screaming ‘mum-Mum-mum’ and was trying to catch the raindrops with both of her hands. Stupid girl!

She now does not mix up things and uses different words to address different people, at least her mom and dad. The best part is, when I am sleeping she would just come and tilt her head close to me and whisper ‘pa-pa’.
