Ridhima looks bigger now and bigger has become her antics. She could roll over to only one side till last week, not any more she now does her flips for both sides quite effortlessly. The problem she is facing is how to come back to the normal position. She would either cry or simply put her hair down to ease her neck. Three days ago, I was in office and called Rinku after lunch as I always do. She said something has happen with our kid and I almost skipped my breath as in what? She said no no there is nothing to worry it was her 4th day when she got Ridhima had her shampoo done and she has been singing loudly since then. I was intrigued how can a five months old can sing? Was she serious?
I reached home in the evening expecting my darling daughter to perform and guess what she did not disappoint me. There was no electricity, I would not know why, and I could not make a video of her song but yes the audio of almost a minute got recorded. Her first song recording. I will tell you what she does- in fact she has been trying to make some sound from quite some time now but that day she was so happy that it just came out clear. She would make long loud noises like a rhythm whenever Rinku or me sing anything near her. It was amazing!
My parents are dying to see her and they are reaching Mumbai on 22nd of this month. Ridhima will get some company then. My mom adores kids. She can just go on and on playing with them. There has been many stories of her when her motherly loves got an extension and reached out to animals. One of them is this: The cats in our village are serious cats they cannot be domesticated and have their own world. They wouldn't care about dogs and other bigger animals. They are always on their one mission- find food into households, snatch it, steal it. We would not know how one of the cats befriended mom, delivered kittens near my house and all of them, like huge family became familiar with her. One of the kitten unlike her siblings stayed with my mother till she grew young, she would play with her, grab things, effortlessly sit in her lap, demand food, drink tea, Yes! and the best one she would sleep right at the top of her mosquito net facing her. This adorable love-affair reached to a sorry end when she was found dead after a cat fight. Since then she has seen generations of kittens becoming full grown cats before her eyes. And there are similar stories with dogs too.
Ridhima is a lucky girl, she has got such loving Dadi (grandma).
